I have this dude "john fred" asking me about an engine I have for sale in the classifieds. His english is terrible, and wants to do the whole I will send you a money order and you send the extra cash from the money order to me. Looks like Alfred Johnson has reemerged as John Fred.
Just so you guys know this idiot is back out and about.......

I don't know if he is a member he contacted me by email....I just posted it simply because the whole scenario rang a bell on something I read on here a while back. I wouldn't have fell for it, I have seen it before and know that much, but there are others who may need to be reminded/advised that we enjoy this hobby but there are others that try to take advantage of the good natured folks in the Mustang community......

he was asking only $300 for the control arms why does 2,200 come into play for the shipping.

I mean I dont know how a person could even fall for this scam? Why would the scammer even think it would work? Why would you think that if you send a check for 5times the asking amount they would just send you the extra money back?

give him the local FBI address (as your own of course) and a copy of screenshots of your internet set-up. In the bag of goodies obviously let the FBI know why they they just recieved a check for 2500, also who you are and what your doing.

We got the same thing from Mandy Bobby this morning wanting to buy our boat. Said he had a buyer and they were sending me a money order for the amount I was asking ($8000) plus the extra he charges as a finder fee pretty much and I should send him the amount over my 8grand. I was very sceptical but not sure as I work for a marina and we actually sell boats through wholesellers like this sometimes. But I asked people about it and found out what he is really doing. Thanks everyone for keeping others informed.

So the boat is still up for sale for whoever may be interested!!!!
