these 6 pc lights are a PITA...how do you aim these things?

took me 2 hrs to get these things in and i cant figure out how you aim them...

I don't think you can aim these lights at all! Maybe I'm wrong but I didn't see any provisions...

Which 6 piece lights ? Got a picture or more info ?

If you're talking about these:



then there is no aiming provision. You get them the way the Chinese 12-year old girl made them.

^ hes talking about factory style 6 pieces, but im fairly positive you cant aim them either

Of course you can! The adjusters are the two hex studs that stick out of the back.

i guess ive never needed to
my '01 lights always wandered, but the fox hasnt had any problems. im not sure if i like those 1 piece fox lights though

there are 3 hex studs on both sides...

so the hex studs..so you have to take the bracket off the back of the light to adjust the screws? i dont see how else you would adjust the studs? and yes 6 piece smoked factory style lights from
50resto.com

Yeah, the "one piece" jewels have no adjustment, the 6 piece ones should be adjustable. Late Model Resto sells a tool I think.

The studs stick out of the header panel about a half inch. You just turn them with the appropriate sized socket.

Ya they are a pain, mine still point down to the ground way to much but I got tired of dealing with it and just left it

I had to use the mounting bolts as adjustment bolts as well on my 6pc set. The fit looks great, aiming was a PITA.

looks like i have more fun ahead of me...lol...the hardest thing is getting to the nuts to mount the lights...thanks

its not that hard, but I have skinny hands as well

The 3 adjusters are circled in red. If you have enough hand space, you can use a 1/4" ratchet & a 4mm socket. If not, you may want to invest in one of these: 87-98 Mustang Lisle Headlight Adjusting Wrench at LRS - Same Day Shipping!

Also, here is a good little write up on how to adjust for best beam placement.
