So as I'm coming home from work in the wifes car, we pull into the apartment complex and thats when I see it. The molding above the little right rear window is cracked and messed up. Looked like someone tried to pull it up and pop out the window. The other side is the same. Thank God they didn't get in and both windows were still in place and not cracked or broken (had to replace one before, almost 300). But the molding on both sides is ruined. And I just washed and waxed it a day ago... Makes you want to hide behind a tree with a shotgun and lay in wait...    :uzi: thieves....

Yea I agree with you, Thieves do suck...so do jealous people or angry neighbors who like to key or purposely scratch your car cause its better then theres or too loud.

I have not figured out which instance it is yet for me (jealous person or angry neighbor) but while parked at my girls condo some a$$ key'd my ride last year. Thank got its getting repainted next week!

They probably would have got in, but you came home.
I've never had a Stang or Stang parts ripped off, but I have walked out to find an empty parking spot where my GSXR used to be
Ever notice how on ebay there are alway's alot of late model Stang wings for sale? I just found out that all it takes is some little tool to stick in between the base of the wing and the trunk lid and the things just "pop" off!
Yeah, all those bastards should be shot.

man yesterday i walked outside to see my drivers side taillight lens gone. This really makes me angry because both sides were stolen last year on july 4th. I hope it broke into a million pieces when they stole it because i used a bunch of screws to secure both of them on after what happened last year.

Did you do anything else to make the garage more secure? If they tried once....

edit - I'm an airhead - re-read the post; car windows, duh. You know, it may sound strange, but having lived a lot of years in apartments (many years ago), I found one of the best ways to deter people messing with the car during the day was with a car cover. You just have to be so obvious removing it before you can do anything to the car. Just a thought.

Yeah! And pour a few quarts of oil on the ground under the engine end, so everybody thinks there's a real POS under there and isn't even tempted to make sure. Sorry to hear about it, be glad they didn't get in though- and add theft to vandalism. BTW- this shouldn't be in Tech.

I really should get an alarm or someting for my car. Hell, I found out by accident yesterday that I didn't need my key to start the car! But, it's like now. :nice:

But the best part is that you still have your car, and that it isn't completly tore up.

i had some a**hole(s) break into my 83 gt at the trans shop i used to work at they bust the ignition up and then destroyed the interior i guess they couldnt get it started and took it out on my baby. well anywho it was there cause i lost a few gears in the trans and i wanted to pull it out on a lift which leads to my question.... how stupid can you be to try and steal a car that just arived a few days before on a roll back..... hello trans shop shouldnt that give you a big hint as to why the car just appeared there stupid a** people :bang:

That really sucks. I had my car broken into in my girlfriends driveway...they stole some clothes and tried to steal my radio. However, the AOD shifter was in the way, so they bent it and still couldnt get the radio out and gave up. I also have had about four $3 atennas stolen and two sets of headlight covers. Now thats just a cheap a**.
