Thinking about 5 lug conversion

I'm selling my current rims and i want to get new ones, but first i am thinking long and hard about a 5-lug conversion (the one for 400$ w/rear drums) because i learned my lesson with the wheels. If you are going to do it, do it right the first time, otherwise you will end up going back and changing it to what you originally wanted. I want to switch to 5-lug so that i can put better brakes in the future, and keep the wheels. Anyway, I was wondering if, with that setup, that just changes the rotors and the rear drums to 5-lug, whether or not 5-lug Y2K Cobra R's would work on my car. I heard people having center cap issues. With the newer rims (on foxes) and stuff like that. So i was wondering if i would have anything to worry about?

but the 4-lug y2k rims would work on my car right? because they wouldnt make 4-lug rims unless they fit my car....

Those are aftermarket reproductions made to fit the Fox Mustang.

If you get a 5-lugger, they won't fit. You'll need SN95 up front. Out back you can use whatever conversion you want. The 5-lug drum setup out back is $190 from summit. Then hit up the junkyard for the front stuff

Thanks, good advice mustang5L5, we'll see what i do. tough decision to make. May just stick with 4-lug.... (cause i like the fact only the foxes have them, and i wanna stay true somehow to the foxes) but anyway, if i did that i would still eventually convert to rear disks because my friend has them and says it stops like the newer SN-95's now that he has rear discs and stainless brake lines. thanks 2 both of you guys for helping

88stangmangt what does "y2k cobra's are nice to nice for my stang set-up though." mean? do the y2k's look good on foxes? do u have any pix of this?
He is too stupid to know what he was talking about. But I think he means, he wants the "mean" look. He tells me this all the time but he actually doesnt know what he wants. Dont let him fool ya, HAHA. And yes, the 2000 Cobra R wheels look great on a fox.
