My car is definetly going to run faster than 11.99 and im going to need a cage in my car to avoid getting booted from the track correct? I currently dont have subframes on my car I know But the cage should stiffen up the chassis of my car correct? So would I still need the subframes? Looking to save a little money somehow. And how many people run faster than 11.99 and dont have cages? do you get kicked outta the traack?

I would do the cage and subframe connectors, it can't hurt...

Subframes will help.I have my cage(8 point) tied into the subframes making for a tighter package.

hmmm I thought cage was anything faster than 10.99, not 11.99, in fact I know of a lot of people running low 11's and not getting the boot. That is here in NY at least. It also depends on what you are trapping.

Is this true 11s dont need cage but 10.99 or faster does? Cuz i want the cage and all but just got fined almost $2700!!!! So saving money on not putting the cage in now would definetly help. Any info/feedback would be greatly appreciated fella's.

11.99 and faster needs a roll BAR, not a full cage
10.99 and faster needs a roll CAGE

You have to have at LEAST a 6 point to run 11.99 and quicker=NHRA tracks (11.49 at ihra tracks).

i know i'm going to sound like an idiot and get flamed, but here goes. i really hate roll cages. i don't like how you have to lose your backseat, don't want that. i don't like the bar that runs right next to the seat, don't wanna be a 'Kiss Me''Kiss Me''Kiss Me''Kiss Me'ing monkey and climb up and over that thing. don't like how the bar eliminates the possibility to install a-pillar gauges. roll cage = le sigh

well, your entitled to yur opinion, but I think walking away from a crash makes up for the loss of an Apillar pod or a backseat.

That about sums it up for me too.

Subframes would still help, it's like building a bridge with no road, just the supports... or something.

the cage is for your safety, I think the helmet gets in my way but I still wear one.
get sub frame connectors and make sure the cage is installed properly. I would get a reputable shop to put it in as well. Once you start getting to those ets you now have a race car that is streetable not a street car that you race.

I'm not even gonna run really fast times. I plan to run low 12's but for the amount of times I will be going to the track soon I will be buying a cage just because its safer. With all the times I will be going to the track I will be increasing the chances of an accident and I value my life so I will spend the $500 for a 6 point w/the swing out side doors. Also you can mount the guages onto the roll cage. Plus they stiffen the suspension up a lot so it will help et's a little. Also if I ever get in a non track accident I'm still safer

now that i like and could put up with. now if only there were roll cages where you could remove the back bar so you could open up the back seat. then just chuck it in when you hit the track. then i would have absolutely no problem putting in a roll cage.
