i got wind of a great deal on a low rider 1977 cadillac. its supposed to be in good shape. the owner says everything works but i don't wanna be caught off guard and all that jazz.

car has dayton spoke rims, redone interior, full sound system and all that. but what i'm wondering about is the hydrolics.

has anyone ever delt with a car w/ hydrolics? someone told me to check for leaks and hoses since it can be exspensive. the car has 4 pumps, and i think 4 batteries in the trunk, and 5 switches if it helps.

i plan on looking at the car tomorrow if we can match scheduals so any advice would be appreciated.

You might want to find somebody who knows what they are looking at to go with you before you spend money on something like that. Those hydraulic pumps/etc are expensive.

If he is running Hyd. filters (and I hope he is, otherwise walk away) get him to remove a filter and cut it apart to look for any signs of metal, this will tell you if there is a pump going away or not. Check the Hydraulic lines for any signs of bubbling (usually around the fitting) . Try all the controls youself a few times to make sure there are no sticky spools in the valve bank, and just check the overall condition of the car, if a lot of it is "haywired" together, it's probably not worth it.

i kinda know this guy but i never seen this car. he's a pretty good guy round the block. but i'm not sure if he's even sure what's involved in the hydrolics of this car. i have a feeling he's a wallet tuner. he is the type of person who sees a car he likes and bam he'll buy it. then he see's something he wants to do to his car and he pays someone else to do it.

this guy has money so i understand if he's selling it cheap. but at the same time he didn't get the money from being stupid.

i'm just hoping its not a to good to be true deal.

someone else told me to check for frame cracks and weilds.
