this noise is eating at my brain

alright my car is making this noise that sounds something like a hissing/ticking kind of noise. pretty sure is coming from the tranny or clutch. and when i let off the gas in gear and the engine is slowing the car down it will do it until about 1900rpm . but even with the slightest bit of gas it starts again. could it be an exhaust leak?

hey i've had that too!!!!!!! i put soem silicon sealer on my exhaust hubs/joints... then it went away, it takes time but once its all sealed up it sounds sooooooooooo much better
