now it is my understanding that HD's are really for towing and off roading. is this true? it doesnt seem to me that this would be good for corner carving but then again i have no idea lol

No, they aren't for towing. Those are the same ones I got from MM, and I don't use them for towing :nice:

Also, the only Bils that aren't "HD" are the MM sport valved ones. Here's some text from MM's site:

For conventional springs (springs located in the original, stock location), the Bilstein HD Series dampers are well matched to the original stock springs, as well as aftermarket performance and lowering springs up to a moderate level of stiffness.

Examples of conventional springs that match well with the Bilstein HD series dampers include:

* MM Road & Track, MM Street Performance, and MM Street Lowering springs
* Eibach Pro-Kit springs
* H&R Sport, Super Sport, and Race springs

For racing and un-compromised open-tracking, when ride quality is not a concern, we recommend the MM Sport Bilstein dampers be used with these conventional springs:

* MM Road & Track, and MM Open-Track springs
* H&R Race and Super Race springs

How many Mustangs have you seen pulling a trailer? And now how many have you seen in the mud, let alone a puddle? Haha, lots of guys run the HD's - you'll be fine. :nice:

Edit: And the puppy was a nice touch, haha!
