Those with explorer motors/gt40/p heads, what did you dyno and what mods??

Just curious...for those of you out there who are running an explorer motor...and have UNPORTED heads, what did you dyno at the wheels, and what mods are you running.

I haven't dyno'd mine yet, but my bro did and got 237 to the wheels. He's still running a stock mass air meter..and has a couple of more mods to do, but i've heard of others getting quite a bit more.

Just wondering what you all did to get your #'s.

you said people with UNPORTED heads but mine were. here is my old set up. Stock 93 block ported polished GT40P heads and 93 cobra intake also ported 1.7 cobra rockers crane cam (sorry dont remember the size) 19# injectors alum radiater electric fan underdrive pullies 70MM accufab throttle body (for sale now) and a 76MM C&L (also for sale)CAI 4.10 gears. all this was good for 301H.P/328T.Q at the wheels. peace

the stock MAF at 55mm is holding back power - get that changed out and go to at least a 65mm TB. See sig for my results with speed density.

My old 89 turned out 224RWHP and 275ftbls at 5K with a TFS1 cam and a stock TB. I still have it's mods listed in my sig.

I highly recommend running at least a 65mm TB and a 70+mm MAF with any GT40 style combination of heads and intake.
