Those with Weld wheels/ GT/Cobra brake specs

Has anyone put on their weld Pro Stars and had to grind the rear caliper? I have 15x10 with a 6.5" BS and they don't clear my rear calipers. I was told they they should clear. Anyone know if the GT rear brakes are the same as mine and is there any difference in brand of calipers used?

Any help is appreciated.

The brackets are different and will need to grind it slightly.

i was just reading a thread on corral about this in the DOHC section and alot of guys with the 5.5 backspacing didn't have to grind at all. I'm gonna run into this eventually when i get some rear drag wheels/tires. What did you do with the front? I'd like to run skinny's but don't want to run spacers or grind my calipers. I remember a 17X4 front that cleared but can't find it anywhere.

I have a 15x10 wheel.

Getting 30mm Maximum Motorsport spacers for my 15x3.5's.

I'm going to do the same thing on my Cobra soon. Can you post pics and explain what I would need to do in order to run 15's? Spacers for the front?

I have 15x10 with a 6.5" backspacing. You need to grind the calipers and or use a 7/16th-1/4" spacer.

For the front I am going with a 1" Hubcentric spacer from MM.

Well with a 7/16th spacer you only need to grind the brake hose mount and the bolt and it will clear with stock studs and give you atleast 5-8 turns on the stud.
