I’m a kid who likes muscle cars. Found this 86’ Capri 5.0 a few blocks from my house. Interested in this car because my friend has a 93’ Fox. I could possibly be inheriting a 97’ Tahoe. The Capri looks clean (it is covered in dust), and it has 159,000 miles. The seller is asking $2,500. Do you guys think it is worth it and what would be a fair price? I don’t have a big budget for repairs because I am still in school.

Yes. Get it now!! In all seriousness that is a fair price so long as its not falling apart (rust) and engine starts, all that good stuff. Dont come across capris too often 
I second that. You need to crawl around under the car and look for rust in floorboards and in the shock towers so under the hood there. If the owner is good with it I would also look under the carpet in the rear floorboard for rust as water can accumulate there as well. Another spot if the passenger front floorboard due to the heater core leaking. Last is the door jams where the door hinges are as we have seen a rash of that on here lately.
Even if you can just buy it and set it back the Capris are super hard to find and IMO just pretty damn cool.

If it's not a nest of rust holes and caved in panels, it's totally worth it.
