I'm thinking about a demon carb. What are your guys' thoughts on these carbs, so far I haven't really heard of any bad things about them. The other choices I have are the edelbrock 1406 600cfm, or the holley street avenger 600 cfm carb. the demons that I'm looking at are either the road demon 625 cfm or the speed demon 650. all those carbs are close in price, but I had a real bad experience with the edelbrock, i went through 3 of them in 4 months. by the way it i'll probally be putting it on a weiland stealth intake manifold.
thanks

I met a guy at the track last weekend, he converted his Mustang to carb using a Demon. Sweet looking carb. ..he said he loved it. It was wierd when he popped the hood.

I've never heard anything bad about'em. I'm planning to get one this winter. Aside from a custom carb or a Holly Dominator style carb, i don't think you can buy a better off the shelf carb, plus they're badass looking.

The Demon's are awesome carb's. I replaced my Holley 850 double pumper with one a couple of years ago. Same design as a Holley, but with MUCH better quality.

I agree that they are awesome looking they have a very clean look to them like you guys have said, I haven't heard anything bad about them. What size should i get for my stock motor, with the intake manifold of course.

Their guide might help you out http://www.barrygrant.com/demon/default.aspx?page=5

Looks like the 625 Road Demon Jr would do it, you don't want to over carb. What intake are you going to use?

Check this out, they used it on this 5.0 builup http://www.carcraft.com/techarticles/116_0307_ford/

I'm so getting those AFR heads

i just put one on my brothers 400sbc malibu yesterday.we replaced the 670 street avenger with a 750 vac.speed demon.it's no comparison.it tunes in real easy with the 4 corner idle circuit plus it uses glass sight plugs instead of those cheap clear plastic holley ones that seem to crumble and fall off after a cople years of use.

My dad switched out a holley 750 for a demon 750 on his 1972 351CJ and it made quite a noticable difference in throttle response. Pulled alot longer too, awsome carbs, WAY better then holley or edelbrock IMO.

i have a Demon 750 on my 331 stroker. it works great on my engine. it's a lot more adjustable.
it requires more effort to get it tuned in but once it's set you're good to go.
Demons are sold by application.
i am using a speed demon.

Harder to tune then a Holley. I swapped my Holley for a QuikFuel ProVac. I had been using a Holley 750. Dropped in a QuickFuel 650 and picked up 4 tenths of a second. Before you shell out the big bucks for a Demon, check out QuickFuel. www.QuickFuelTechnology.com They are former Holley engineers who struck out on their own to try and build a better carb. I think they have.
