I just installed a PP 70mm TB the other day along with the PP 70mm EGR spacer mated to an Explorer intake.... got all done and set the base idle, set the TPS, and set the timing.....
When I drive the car and then push in the clutch to throw the car in neutral, the throttle stays at the RPM the car was at when it was in gear, and even sometimes climbs higher!!! If i blip the throttle real quick it will go down, sometimes all the way to idle, sometimes not, if I blip it again it will keep dropping til it gets to idle...... I brought it back to the house and checked for clearance issues.... nothing, so I sprayed the external linkage with some lithium grease thinkin that maybe TB was kinda tight b/c it was new, and it worked until I went to drive it again..... has anybody had these problems?? did you just remove the TB and smooth down everything for burs or what?? I'm wantin to drive the car b4 it gets too bad of weather outside. Thanks for your time.

Be sure the throttle cable isnt binding. Motor flex under load might be causing an issue (when idling with the hood up, it's ok. Under torque loading, it's not).

Be very sure that the TB blade isnt binding. Some have adjustment at the pivot axis. There could be a heat coefficient issue causing binding (when cold, it's ok, when hot it's not).

If you disconnect the IAC, does the idle still act funky (only drive on a safe, closed course as the car might stall).

Otherwise, check again for vac leaks again.
