Throttle problem I think

Ok.... Just got this car. Its a 95 gt with 100000 on it. Came with a cold air intake and a 65mm BBk throttle body. Kid had the screw on the IAC cranked all the way in, must have done this to try to get it to drop the throttle faster. The problem is when driving, After pushing the clutch in the Rpm's will climb about 300Rpm and hang for 5sec then return to idle, really noticable at 2 grand. I hooked it up to a computer and found right bank had a lazy o2 sensor, replaced both. Also installed a new IAC and TPS, none of witch has solved the problem. Any ideas????

Already cleaned the MAF. I will check the grounds on the car. Think im just have to hook it up to the computer and drive it to see whats its doing. Thanks for the idea. Will post back with what I find.

Oh ya I forgot, I ajusted the screw on it to get the correct Idle. 650 if im correct. That put it at about 1 3/4 turns out

ok then.... I thought the screw on the throttle blade was just that to stop it from slamming shut and sticking. Then screw next to IAC is for bringing up the idle. The computer sets the idle, which is not adjustable I thought.

Has anyone heard of this kind of problem before?? I swapped out the MAF with another one which was new. Didn't change a thing. Still hangs when I shift gears.

Ok. Did some playing tonite. Like I said before I bought the car with this problem. It has a problem with the throttle hanging when you shift. It has an after market BBK 65mm throttle body, so just for giggles I unplugged the IAC and the car died. So I turned the screw next to the IAC out until the car would start and Idle. So now it idles with it unplugged. Drove the car and everything seems fine, Throttles down like its suppose to. Why is the check Engine light not on?????

The screw on the TB is an air trim. It is opened about as you stated 1.5 - 1.75 turns from closed. The IAC solenoid is either open or closed. There is no in between position. That's why there is the air trim screw. It's needed to adjust for changes that affect the idle such as the A/C cycling on and off or shifting from Park into a gear while stopped. Are you expecting the CEL be on because the IAC is disconnected? I think most forget that the CEL is only an indicator for a sensed emission parameter falling outside an expected range. A failed IAC won't necessarily trigger a CEL although there may be a DTC stored in the PCM

search for idle reset procedure. also the idle on the sn95 does hang while moving. every one that i have owned does that some worse then others, when changing gears while moving it will keep the idle or raise completly then it will drop that is normal. its the vss ,it can be turned off with a custom tune
