Hey my buddy just came across a 92 5.0 T-bird for a steal. What is the difference motor wise with these and the mustang 5.0 H.O motors from these years. Are the pistons forged? And can this thing handle a nice shot of nitrous. Im just curious as to the differences between this motor and the 5.0 in the mustang.

The bottom end is the same but the cam, heads, and intake are not. I"m not sure if the pistons are forged.

Here ya go man I am a MN12 fan!! my first car was a 90 Tbird!

There is so much info there on those cars.
Also my89blubyu is correct the cam, heads and intake are different. I beleive it actually puts out a little more torque but im not positive.

i had a 91 and it was the bomb. pretty quick for it size. i hear the cam is the same as the 93 cobra and mine had the same e7 heads like the other motors did. it did say 5.0 HO on the plaque.
