ok, a while back I had a centerforce dual friction clutch installed and ever since then I have had this ticking coming from something ever since. if I apply a small bit of pressure to the clutch pedal it stops. does this mean my cable is bad or is this more like a bad TO bearing? my car used to be a bit louder because my a/c compressor was shot and it made all kinds of noise. plus my p/s pump was pretty loud too so it masked this pretty good. but since I have been slowly getting things fixed on my car it is alot quiter on this side of things and now this ticking is very noticeable. I have no apparent problems with anything transmission related as far as I can tell. car shifts just fine. clutch engages just fine. what could this ticking be?

definetly the throwout bearing. if you have an adjustable cable or a firewall adjuster...just adjust a little bit of play out of the cable to preload the pressure plate and that should get rid of it.
