To Do
  • exhaust repaired (outlet tubes replaced and tips polished & re-installed)
  • leather cleaned & conditioned
  • plastic and vinyl to get 303 treatment
  • silicone lubricant applied to all weatherstripping (including trunk)
  • body and wheels polished
  • rear tires replaced (current Nitto 555 drag radials are shot)
  • STB - part on hand, pending installation
  • front brake lines - parts on hand, pending installation
  • brake pads - rear look fine, needs front - may replace all four anyway
  • brake calipers repainted
  • headlight & fog light restore / replace
  • headlight bulbs replaced with Silverstars - kept the ones from my 2004 GT to use (keep "stock" bulbs for spares)
  • grille delete
  • shifter


Updates (date complete)
  • rear view mirror installed (2/6/09)
  • one touch down passenger window (2/6/09)
  • exhaust tips polished (3/10/09)

i am heading to timmy's house this weekend to give him a hand. hope to knock out the bolded items. would do more if he had deeper pockets. :D

will post up some pics of the progress and of the chicken wings he will be making. :drool:
 
Well, the MM Strut Tower Brace was a complete pain to install. I'm sure it is a great piece of hardware, but wow. The installation could be done without the crazy adventures MM puts you through.

That's the only update I have to the list from this weekend. It took much longer than expected and we ran out of [already pressed] time.

MMs instructions are useless. :mad: it says to tie your hood to the steering wheel?? what kind of tip is that? :shrug:

No sir. She's still in desperate need of a buffing and I don't want to share filthy shots with the masses.

ugg, looks like a solid day of buffing is needed to bring back the luster. maybe next time out i will have more time to devote to the project.
 
Let me move in with you Tim. I will use the Porter Cable on your car once a month. The car will always shine better then new :nice:
 
Where is a good place to pick up a cowl cover? ....other than the Ford dealership parts counter, that is. The one on the car now is faded, brittle, and cracked in a few spots.
