Hey need some advice. I am putting in the new heads (PI) and am to the timing chain install. I marked the chains and all and installed them easy. I went ahead and rotated the crank shaft with the chains tight to turn the cams and the pistions to see if any valve tapping or lock up would occur. To my surprise everything was fine:nice:

The only thing I noticed is after a complete cycle (16 crank rotations), the markings that I made on the timing chain and the cam/crank did not match back up. They are off one link. Now both the cam and crank are off by one link in the same directions so techincally its still the same number of links between them as when I insatlled them, its just that both chains are off by that one link. Is there a problem with this?

i have an 02 gt that i have just installed supercharger cams on, but the moter doesnt yet have the supercharger. i have the exact same problem as you do and im still trying to find an answer cuz mine runs like crap down low but pulls at high rpm, and stalls and surges, it also pulls so much vaccuum it sucks the pcv hose shut. i would reccomend finding the right timing procedure before wasting your time puting it all back together and doing it all over like me.
