I have a 91 mustang lx. It has a comp 20/30 cam. Gears and mostly stock. The timing needs adjusted because it barely wants to idol. Any suggestions on what to set the timing at such as what degree etc please let me know. [email protected]. Thanks.
I don't know the specs on that cam, so I can't tell you what RPM it should idle at. I would start by setting timing at 10 degrees which is stock. If it still won't idle, you may have another problem, like an intake leak.

I had that cam but ditched it when the valvesprings all started breaking. Mine idled at 850-900 rpm and liked 14 degrees timing. Mine has an AOD too which would affect the engine control. It's a little on the mild side with only 218-220 degrees duration at .050 but really works with the computer.
