Was on I-95 this morning about 9 oclock and I swear to god there was a state trooper every 2 miles. I was doing the speed limit and one pulled me over, I was really annoyed. He pulled me over for my tinted windows and was a complete *******, I had the windows rolled down when he walked up, and he made me roll them up so he could use the meter. The front two registered 13% and he gave me a ticket. He said i have three choices, I can pay 75 bucks and get 2 points, take it to court, or take my car to a police station with the tint off and pay 7 bucks.

I've heard of people taking pictures of a car of the same color as theirs and bringing in the pictures to the police station and getting the ticket erased like that. Thats exactly what im going to try and do.

Atleast I finally got my gears fixed.

BTW HP-Performance made the fastest ford gt out there, they now have a gt500 that they are going to twin turbo.

In MA, to get a tint ticket dropped you need to bring the car to a state police station to have someone run the meter again and physically verify they tint is removed or legal. If not, you pay the full fine.

Tint laws suck, but i do see the reason for them. I wouldn't want to walk up behind a car at night with dark tint when I'm all alone.

How can they possibly give you points for that? Its not a moving violation. Thats like giving someone points for a parking ticket.

Secondly, i would fight that. If he made you roll up your windows, he can't just assume you had tint and therefore there is no probable cause to stop you or make you roll them up.

Good luck man, but that sounds like a BS ticket to me.

Does the sensor clip over the window? My sides are all legal, but my rear isn't. I was under the impression they wouldn't be able to check the rear glass - on a vert too. Right or wrong?

I got a tint ticket and a no lic plate ticket at the same time. I just payed the fine (around $200) because I didnt want the hassle of removing the tint and having put back on plus I didnt want to drill holes in my bumper. I didnt get an points though.

I got another tint ticket at night on the freeway which was pretty weak. It was around $100 or so. Both times were highway patrol. Now I stress every time I see one on the freeway.

Wouldn't they just get you to roll the window half-way down, thus removing the obstruction of the window frame?

Tint tickets suck.

Im talking about cars like my 66....the window glass itself has a frame around it. The frame is physically attached to the glass and not the cars body.
So a tint tester cant fit over the trim, even with the window rolled half way down. :D

I had my windows up when i passed the state trooper, but had them rolled down when he pulled me over, and the entire reason for being pulled over was for the tint. Yes it says I will get 2 points if i pay the ticket, I need to look at it closer though.
