After 21,000 miles I have to replace my Kumho Ecsta Supra 712's, 235x45x17s. I have them on Cobra Rs. A little history first. This car always had a problem with the stock front tires wearing fast on the inside shoulders. The Kumhos were no exception. I took it in to a reputable alignment shop in Garland TX called Garland Safety Lane. They recommended a modification on the strut towers, so I had it done. It seems to have fixed the problem, but I think I waited too long and now have a small amount of belt showing. I haven't been too crazy about these tires since the start and am looking for advice. Most of the driving is combined highway/city about 50 per day to and from work.
I've thought about castor/camber plates but most of what I've seen indicates they aren't necessay unless the car is lowered. True?
Would like to keep the price under $150.00 each. I appreciate any help.
