I ran 275/40/17 Nittos once at the track. Squeaked into the 1.8x 60' but only made a half dozen passes. On my street radials (285/35/18 Falkens) I was consistently in the 1.9x range.
Just the simple fact that the wear of the street tires will be significantly better than the drag radials, I would lean toward a street radial.
