what would be the recommended tire pressure for a BF COMP T/A 275/40/17 on a 17x9 rim

for street and track use

34 psi for street, drop it accordingly at track

It should say the ax load and max PSI on the sidwall of the tire. Set the pressure about 4-6 psi lower than max for street use.
