ok im looking for a good street radial that i can get descent miles out of..i have been using the 555r nittos the last 3 times but i cant get more then 3500 miles on them, not tryin to get 30,000 miles here but at least 10,000!!...they hook great after u heat them up on the street but i feel they suck at the track which is fine by me cause i have different rims and tires for the track...what do u guys suggest...mickeys?? bf goodrich gforce t/a's...also i am running a 347 stroker with 10.5 to 1 compression, 4.10 gears, made 368 rwhp...and 397rwtorque...so i need some other then average street tires

Have you considered Bridgestone tires? I used to be a BFGoodrich man but have recently made the switch and have been really happy so far.

My car (Turbine rims limit selection) is sporting a set of G009's from Bridgestone. They are more of an all weather tire, but still have a nice tread pattern and seem to hold their own on the street with my combo (probably not yours though)

Well 3500 miles is pretty good out of a drag radial. Drag radials is what you need on the street for what you have. Now if the most traction possible is not the issue, I have a 11:1 347 and I run Falkens all the way around. They are hands down the best tire I have ever owned, but they are no drag radial. Now I do have a set of BFG drag radials for the street race.

3500 miles is not good for a nitto drag radial.

I'd say he probably has more life on the tire than he relizes.

I run my sets down until I see absolutely no tread left. I can usually get around 15-20k miles out of my nitto dr's with plenty of drag strip runs and burnouts.

You will not find another tire out there that hooks up as well as the nitto and get's the mileage.

My street tires are goodyear eagle F1's on the back (275 40 17) and I really like them alot, expecialy since I got them for free. There are a couple of versions of this tire, but I have the one that comes factory on the front of vetts and cobras (GS?). I think they are pretty expesive new ($250 each?).

I took them to the track a couple of years ago and got them to run a 1.98 60 ft on my way to a 14.05 1/4 mile time (dead stock engine at that time)

I might get some bridgestone Potensa Pole Posistions next time around becasue I get a good deal on them through work.

The BFG Comp T/A's are no longer made. Discontinued. For any performance tire, a mileage warrenty is good. BFG's new G-Force Sport comes with a 50K mile warranty, and that's what I got on mine. I had Firestone (sister company to Bridgestone) and they were the crappiest tires I've ever had. My stock 5.0 would blow the tires off in first, now with the BFG you can stomp it from the light and it just grabs and goes... unless you get a little too aggressive with the clutch.
