My car was in desperate need of new tires, especially for the winter season. So I researched a bunch and found a nice set on TireRack. I wanted to go with wider tires on the car so I ordered 245's for the front and rear. I got them in the mail yesterday and they are HUGE. I know that they will fit on the stock 16 inch rim since I looked up all that stuff too, but will they clear the car and not rub in the front when I turn? Does anyone know what the widest tire you can put on the car in front, without rubbing? Will I be alright or did I screw up like always? I don't want to go pay to get them put on the rim and find out that they don't work, and plus I think tire rack will not take them back if they were put on a rim.

For refrence these are the tires that I bought:

yeah, you'll be fine.

widest in front on our cars is somewhere along the lines of 265 or 275 give or take. but you'll be fine with 245

No problems whatsoever, Just like OxMox said even 275 `s will fit w/o any problems

P.S. You Think that they are BIG-wait till you put them on the Car-they are not so BIG on the car. They look like any 225 .......I thought the same when I got mine(KUMHO ECSTA 711) they looked HUGE not mounted, when I saw them on-I wanted Bigger,Beefier at least 275 in the Rear

You won't have any problems with clearance...however, I suggest burning through them and going with a bigger tire next time

Yup, it's not visiable only under. Just wanted to make sure that you knew it. Hopefully when you trade her in for the mach, they won't notice.
