tire question

I woud say 255 up to 305's are good for a 10" wheel. Some people go wider but i wouldent recommend it especially if you like to take a turn wit some good speed. You will have to remove the quad shocks or flip them and maybe do some minor clearancing to the fender wells if you go 305.

You usually don't have to do any clearancing for tires up to 315. Probably have to flip the quads though. I'm running 285's on a 9 inch wheel and they seem about perfect, so I wouldn't go any smaller than that on a 10 inch.

I agree with Matt. I've never run 315 but Punisher from here has, and I'm pretty sure he had to remove the quads and MAYBE roll the fenders, not sure tho. But IMHO, a 295 is perfect and a 305 is MORE than enough for our cars, anything wider looks too wide, EXCEPT if you have a wide body kit like Punisher(Paul).

FWIW, I have a buddy who had 295/30/18s Toyos on his saleen wheels and that thing looked awesome.

What is going to be a size to go with to be just a little taller than a 255/40 and a little wider? I need a tire that is going to have a good bit of sidewall. A 295/30 is going to be to short for me.

I run a 315 on a 17x10.5.

I did a little inner fender massaging, and had to bend the e-brake bracket a bit so the weights on the back of the wheel didnt hit it.

Never flipped my quad. Now I have some 1/4 in spacers, so I will never need to.

I'm running 315/30/18's with no spacers and with quad shocks....
