tire + rim sizes

if I want to have the same size rims and tires all around, what are the widest rims I can buy? and what are the stock sizes?

I think I'd like to buy 9 inch wide rims all around (9x17) is this possible and can I go wider without rubbing at all in front?

can you get 10 inch wheels in the front, or is that too wide?

I think a 17x9 with a 275 tire is the max you can go in the front.

im running 18x9.5 and 275/40/18's all around with no rubbing issues, also my 01 GT is lowered via sportline springs.

Ok, so ignoring wheel size, would you say 275 is the biggest tire you can run w/o rubbing?

I would run 9" rim with 275's.

now you may be able to fudge that number with the right wheel offset but the older cobras used to come with that so if you run that offset you know there will be no rubbing.

what are the stock rim widths? I think its either 8 or 8.5 . . . .?

stock rim width is 17x8. im running 17x9s with 275/40/17 Michelin Pilot Sport Cups for track tyres. for street tires im going to run 18x9s with 275/35/18s. havent picked a good street tyre yet though. trying to decide if i want Michelin Pilot Sports, Sumitomo HTRZ-2s, Dunlop Dirrezza DZ101s, or Kumho 712s.

o and the best price for tires is tirerack that ive found. and thats including my employee discount at Sears.
