Yeah here it comes: "these tore my torque boxes, well I had the same ones and they didn't tear mine," etc etc. I do hear that the axel side bushing that MM sells is a re-branded of some house brand, just thought I'd throw that out there. It is very fun to watch until you think what it has to be doing to the parts. All you have to do is fill up the air shocks and dump the clutch with a little breaking pressure. It is like a b ball dribbling contest.
Which brings the serious points. The more parallel to the floor pan/ground the lower arm is, I predict the less wheel hop you will get. If you get stiff enough bushings to not need the quads, what is the chance of increasing suspension binding? Old bushings are bad, but rock hard ones do not twist well in corners, then we argue about what brand of better stuff to go with.

17x10 you can run up to a 315+ with a little workI run a 17x10 with a 275 in the rear. I removed the quad shocks altogether though. I'm 99% sure the b/s is 6.5"
Quad Shocks are old technology and there fore absolute! Throw them away and go WID#E!So do you think the quad shocks are not necessary? I dont know a lot about the suspension. I just got everything new and installed it. I only assumed they were necessary because they were on there lol.. But if they can come off I would def do that and when I get new rims I will got wider as well.
2 mm offset is way off. IMO im pretty sure 18+_to 24 mm offset is keySo I re did the whole suspension. New rims and tires. The rims are 17x9 in rear 2mm offset. the passenger rear tire just barely rubs the quad shock. tiny squeak. so we put a small quarter inch spacer. here is my question. what offset are you guys normally running? should i go bigger offset? I believe the tires are 275/45 or 40. pretty sure 45 though. its at shop getting alignment so i cant look right this second.
Saved 4 pounds. But at least you upgraded control arms I guess. I've heard of guys removing them to save the 4-5 pounds w stock arms. Oh brother... @hoopty5.0UPR upper and lower control arms here...took the quad shocks off for weight saving. Cut 1.60 60s, no hop at all.

Just take a huge crap if concerned with 2-3 pounds of weight.
I rode around w out a backseat for awhile. Man it was haulin' azz then..I was being sarcastic. But the point was in most cases quad shocks don't work. I could never tell a difference with them on or off at any power level or suspension setup I had.
But every three pounds eventually adds up.
