tire rubbing issue?

I'm concerned about my new rear tires rubbing the fender. I had them rolled, so there wont be any slicing from a lip, but id still like opinions on what could go wrong with this situation.

I'd like to have these wide tires, but may have to exchange these for 245/50ZR16s instead.

Currently, I have 4-leaf stock GT springs with KYB gas-adjusts (also have a 3/4" rear sway bar)
I like the current ride height, though it might settle another 1/4 to 1/2 in from whats in the pic.

Any idea how much travel the rear end will go if it hit a bump or dip on the road?

That does look like a squeeze. If they rub, I think I would go with the slightly smaller tire size.

My coupe is caspian blue too! Gotta love that color.

Sorry those tires on those rims don't fit. You are going to be traveling at freeway speed one day hit a big bump and slam your fender onto your tire HARD doing damage to your car, your tire, and in the worse case scenario cause an accident when it happens. They really need to be about 1/8 inch in further.

I'm afraid you're right. I have 4.5" backspace, while your 255s are on 17s with less bulge AND you have 4.75 bs (right?).

In theory, a 245 is 5mm further in the fender ( .197", so just slightly more than your 1/8" recommendation)

Yes and mostly yes, there are variances depending on tire manufacture looking at 3 different 245 50 16 tires I see section widths of 9.8, 9.9, and 10. IME Nittos have been a little smaller overall than other brands....but I'm not a big fan of the 555s in anything other than perfectly dry and warm conditions.
