Ever since my 5 lug swap on my 89 what I thought was the tire rubbing the inner fender during sharp right turns found out it is hitting the lower a-arm, that does'nt make sesce, the other side does'nt. Anybody got any clues as to the problem?

If it occurs only while having the wheel turned, rack limiters might be of help.

Good luck.

Rack limiters worked on my 85 with 17x9 255 40 Michelin Pilot Sport Cup race tires. I had a similar problem, but the rack limiters fixed it. Do a search on here for their part numbers. You get them from the dealers in 4 packs, about 2 bucks each.

Easy, loosen the boot clamp pull the boot back and slide the restrictor on the rack and pinion shaft. They look like a C clip.
