Have a 90 GT with Cobra R 17 x 8 wheels, currently 235/45/17 tires. Having CC plates put on tomorrow and thinking about changing to 245/40/17 tires. Car is not lowered. Should the 245's fit okay?

I have 255-40s on my 85gt. Your wheel wells are larger. My stangs also dropped about an inch and I have NO rubbing. You should be able to run your tires no probs. Unless you have some wierd backspacing or something.

With Factory Ford 5 Lug Cobra Rs you should be fine with the 245/45/17s
