Hey everyone,
So I got myself a staggered set of wheels 19x8.5 front and 19x10 rear. What size tires should I get for this setup? For bolt ons I have JLT series 3 cai and frp 62 mm throttle body I do plan to install some Adjustable coil overs in the near future and maybe some cams as well but that’s further down the road. Thanks in advance!

Hi,
What Rims did you come across?
Not all Rims for these are clearanced the same for Brake Rotors or backspaced identically for the wheel-wells, but providing the Rims are for the 05’-09’ S197’s and you don’t go too far with width or run monster Calipers or brake rotors, you should be OK.

Originally, i was going to stagger width on my 2008’ GT with 19’s. To clear with no issues my staggered Tire/Rim target size was 255/40R19’s up front, 285/35R19’s out back. Tires...Nitto555G2’s.
I can assure you with a near stock GT you’ll have much improved traction on the Asphalt.
Lots of good tires out there, made for best performance under specific conditions..
A Physics law..”Friction is independent of surface area”. I have to remind myself of this.
For Tires, it holds a simple meaning:
..wider is not always better.
(Ok, I agree it does look pretty cool, lol.)
Have Tires in mind already?
A good resource to view S197’s with various Tire combo’s folks have already put together
on A.Muscle.
Best of luck!
