Alright im looking for some new rims for my car. I have a 2002 GT and already have 17X9 Cobra Rs on it. Their chrome and i not a huge fan because i doesnt look to good with the red. Anyways, Heres my question I was looking at the Black 2003 Style Cobra Wheel 94-04 (17x9) from american muscle and they suggest to put a 275/40-17 tire on them. Does anyone know if my 245/45/zr17s will fit these rims?

It should fit fine, but your rims would be more exposed because of the narrower tires, so you need to be careful around curbs.

You should get the black chrome ones bet they would look sick with the red car. Not a huge fan of the black rims but some look awesome as a matter of fact bcollie has a red one with black rims and his looks sweet but he blacked out everything.

DO NOT PUT 245's ON 17X9's!!

They will be stretched, and the wheel lip will stick out soo much. Chances are you will hit the curb when parking. I run 275's all the way around my Cobra R's, perfect tire.

IF you must go smaller, buy 255-40-R17 Goodyear Eagle F1's with the extra rubber lip that gaurds the wheel. My Dad's GT500 has 255-40-18 with those tires, and while the tire is skinny, the lip protects the wheel.
