sorry guys for the millionth tire question, but tire rack didnt really help me. im getting wheels that are 18in. 8.5in in front 10in in back. i was thinking 255 and 285 but dont want to mess with the abs system. i also dont want too much of a low profile tire.

ex. for 245/40 and 275/35 is all the mustang tires on the tire rack but i wanted a little wider what sizes do i need????????????

tire shop told me 255/35 and 285/30, but isnt that too low profile and not the right diameter for our cars? please help me out.

I have 265/35-18 for the front and 295/35-18 for the rear. The rear is a little bigger than stock, but I have a speedcal, so it's no problem for me.

u need to pick custom size option from tire rack page, it will only bring up a couple of popular sizes, if u just go by car type.

i got 275/40s and i wouldn't want to lose much more sidewall than that.

just my 2 pennies.

yea i dont want to lose sidewall either, the fender gaps are big enough. you dont have any problems with abs with 275/40 isnt that bigger then the stock wheel diameter?

you can make it fly. the stuff they recomend is so you don't have your speedo off. if you don't care about a recal you can get anything you want. I have 245/40r20 they are 27.7. my speedo reads a little low about 5mph. I have not done a recal becaue I am going to buy the sct sofware after I make my wife work more overtime and she is done with my potpie. ha ha

I have 255 40 18 all the way around. I fixed the speedometer with my programmer. The 255 40 18 (compared to stock 245 45 17) make your speedometer 1.4% slow and a 255 40 35 would make your speedometer 2.5% too fast (less chance of a speeding ticket).

You should do 265/35/18 for the front.. 255/35 is short. 285/35 would be fine for the rear.. its only slightly taller than stock
285/30 is way too short and would look wierd. I think 295/35/18 looks too tall

245/45/17 (stock) 25.7"
265/35/18 (front) 25.3"
275/35/18 (option for rear) 25.7"
285/35/18 (option for rear) 25.9-26"

let us know any other questions

Dang, with that size tire you should get some 4.30 gears to even out the slow down factor
