tire sizing

I saw someone on here that put a 315 nitto on a 9 inch wide wheel. I plan on getting nitto nt555 for my car very soon. I want a wide tire like a 315 but dont want to get it and then they dont fit. Also what would be a good size for the front. I like to take the car to the strip but also like to autox too sometimes. Just want a good tire setup. So is a 315 nt555 to wide for a 9 inch wheel out back and what is a good tire to mattch it up with for the front?

well, nittos run narrow but still, a 315 is pushing it on a 10" rim.
Theres no way you could put a 315 on a 9" rim safley

so would a 275/40 out back and a 245 up front be good for strip and autox?

Yes. you may want to run a 255-265 or 275 up front if your doing real aggressive driving though. I run 245 on a 9" and have no problems or stretching though

I've autoXed sucessful on 245's. Tire brand tends to play more of a role than tire size.

Either way i wouldn't go more than a 275 on a 9" wheel
