tire tread life

i was wondering if anyone knew how much less your tires will last if you spin them every once in awhile at a red light or something. like say i stomped it and left a 10 ft black mark on the pavement, would that take off like 1000 miles on your tires?? anyone one know anything about that

You're fine. Even if you did that once per day, it wouldn't reduce the life by that much. You go and roast them for about 10 seconds or longer. Now you're cutting into the life. I have done(including about 45 seconds or so at the track)4 decent to long burnouts and I still have plenty of tread on my tires after 24K miles. Here is a pic from just today of the back ones.
