Tires and Shocks for a 2003 Deluxe Convertible

I presently have 225/55 R16 tires on my 2003 Mustang Deluxe Convertible. I am looking for larger (Maybe17") and much softer riding, Summer tires.
Also, are there and rear shock absorbers recommend??

Going from 16” to 17” wheels will firm up the ride as you are reducing sidewall height. So even the softest 17” tires (which generally are touring style tires not summer performance) will still be firmer.

Of course you will need 17” wheels too. 17x8

Bilstein front struts and rear shocks are fantastic and will most likely improve the ride on the car if you are still on the original dampers.
