tires are Falcon's good??

I recently bought a set of NEXEN N2000 tires bc they were priced reasonably and looked pretty good and they are crap. I was putting them on the front and they are getting chewed up from cornering lightly, I thought it would be ok for just steering tires. Am not impressed with them at all and I need a new set of rear tires and I don't want to get another set of super soft tires b/c they will be gone in no time if I do, but I also don't wanna spend 300 a tire. I have stock GT 16's and I like the Falcon directional Z rated tires just wondering if anyone has tried them and liked or disliked them?? or what are a good tire that will stand up to some abuse without emptying your wallet??
