I'm looking for a new set of tires. My current set are so bald it's almost hilariously awesome to drive on them.

Until of course I almost got killed because of them yesterday. So I might as well break my pitiful bank and get a new set.

Winter season is coming up and I live in the mountains so I can't have anything truely fun. Is there a tire out there that is considered all season, but still have equal or better performance than gatorbacks (or BFGoodrich KDWS's that are on there now if any of you know what those are like), AND still have a decent treadwear? I'm not all too hopeful, but I thought I'd ask. Leaning towards performance over treadwear, however, they have to be all season or I can't get to work.

Thanks!

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S. they are M&S rated, and have 400/AA/A ratings. ive had mine for a year and the wear is great. mine are Y rated to 300kmph(186mph). i think they were like $300 a piece from tirerack in 275/40/17.

The Pirelli P Zero Nero is very highly rated and considered a Ultra High Performance all season tire. My friend had them on his 05 GT (standard equipment) and was very pleased with them. He was cutting some 1.9 60ft at the track with them also.

He never used them in snow though.

Same boat here. Stock goodyears are almost done at 38K miles.

I want a nice performance tire, but with winter here in New England, i should get an all-season

All the tires suggested are great choices. However, if you want to save money you could try the tire I have. They are Falken Ziex ZE-512s and I got them for $99 each UPS to my door. I have had them for almost two years and they are fine.
