Tires

transmission screw up WHAT!? All that'll happen is your speedo will be off in porportion to the size of the new tire based on the old tire, but if it's just a little bit larger of a tire, you'll be off probably 6-7 mph, but you'll also put less mileage on your car because it will be reading less tire revolutions for your actual speed. I always hate it when I know more about cars then some mechanics and I'm too young to get a job as one

hey. you saw my reply on the tires. . Well they do look nice, i have gotten many complements on them , i am still getting some cobra or svt rims. . They are awesome for the winter though where i live. I went with a size bigger i believe. I think the guy that was talking at tires plus where you live was full of it. If you want me too, i will go and get you the size, i would have to go out to my garage, and its so far to walk. LOL. I actually went with the widest tire i could fit on my rim, and not rub. I didn't like the pizza cutter look i was getting from the back. i think its only like 1/4 inch over stock height, can't remember. And my speedometer is still not noticably off. You won't notice it unless you put 32's on there. . Well anyways. i'm rambling. I would say, go with tires plus, don't listen to his bull, cause they're cheaper anyways, and get the widest tire you can get on that rim thats white letter. Which would be my Firehawks. . or save your money and buy new rims. about 3.5 times the price though.

So any news on the new tires. I finally went out and checked on the tire size for ya today. P215/65/R15. They are a little bigger then stock, but they don't effect the mph like everyone says. They look nice too and they won't mess with your transmission. I think he was just trying to sell you there daytona's or something, cause they make no real money on firestones either. LOL. Good tires though and they look great. Let me know if this helps.
