Tires!

I have General Exclaim UHPs on my GT right now, i love them. The Exclaim UHP's are General Tire's high performance tire. They have a great looking tread design, grip well, are supposed to be a summer tire, but their tread style repels water in the winter as well, and they don't have too much texture noise on the highway, and they're priced just right too.

There are so many great tires out there.

+10 on the General Exclaim UHP.
It's a real sleeper for the price.

They are made by Continental FWIW.

I replaced the stock gatorbacks with them and the only difference in handling I noticed is that when taking turns the "riding on rails" feeling is less, IOW a little more give, however there is NO change in performance on turns. The sidewall is softer on these tires than the Gators BTW.

IOW I'm not squealing or sliding or anything and can take turns just as fast as I could with the Gators.

Every other aspect of this tire however is far superior to the stock gatorbacks.
Quiet, good in rain and even light snow, sticky, a 380 treadwear which hopefully will live up to it's number.

They also get very good reviews and for the $$ are one heck of a deal.

Second choice is Nitto 555.
Add me to the list of never again with BFG tires.
Just my 2 cents.

+2 for Firestone Wide Ovals (Previously Firehawks). For the money I don't think you can get a better tire. Great in dry and rain, lower road noise than the OEM Goodyears. They are about $130 at Tirerack last I checked, and Firestone will honor their price. I am guessing I am going to get about 35k to 40k miles out of them. I got 38k on the Goodyears before the belts started to show.

Check out the comparison test that Tirerack did on these.

People seem to like the aggressive "leaf pattern" of the BFG's. Maybe it helps Mustang guys to "think green." Maybe they can Bark second.. ha ha.
