TKO 600 swap, 26 spline disc

I recently sold my '89 stang and ended up buying a 92lx coupe equipped with a custom single turbo kit. The car is awesome and has 405hp and 440tq at 6psi of boost, and a conservative tune. Anyways, I bought the car with a worldclass T-5 in it and knew I would eventually blow it up, and sure enough on the second day of owning the car, third gear got toasted. Needless to say I am looking into a TKO 600 and have ordered the aluminum bellhousing from astroperformance, and plan on buying the tranny from tommie vaughn ford here in houston. (priced at $1672 with the 26 spline yoke). In an effort to save some cash, I don't really want to buy an entire clutch kit and the car already has a spec 2 kit on it. (10 spline) My question is, which 26 spline clutch discs can I use with the spec pressure plate aside from a spec 2 or 3? And, where can I even find 26 spline spec clutch discs separate from the kit?? Are the spec 2 and king cobra pressure plates the same???

try musclemotors.com I think I paid less for that combo, you need to call they will deal with you and will also just sell you a disc for the stage 2. But i would bring the flywheel to napa and have it resurfaced. You want the disc to seat well.

I would stick with a stage 2 disc as well

what mods are done to the engine?

the short block is stock, trickflow twisted wedge heads, stock cam, 1.6 crane roller rockers, trick flow intake manifold

did my swap w/ stage 3 disc, just call spec they will send you a disc..think i paid $120 for a 26spline disc, if your old disc is used/beat up get the flywheel resurfaced other wise dont bother...

I bought a 26 spline mcleod clutch disk from ddperformance for my centerforce pressure plate. Works fine for me.

I just bought the TKO 600 today and along with it the 31 spline yoke and a centerforce dual friction 26 spline clutch disc that I plan on using with my spec pressure plate. Was the centerforce a good choice?

I dunno.
I'm not a big fan of re-using any clutch parts. I understand a budget, but there is also the risk of having to pull the whole thing apart again.

Flywheels aren't really worth resurfacing, considering the FMS stock repacement is only $100.
Pressure plates also wear and get screwed up.

IMO, just buy all new parts, and be done with it. I know it sucks, but it's insurance.
