Drivetrain Tkx swap. 31 spine yoke on stock driveshaft??

Tkx experts. Working on swapping out an aod to a tkx. The plan was to use the stock driveshaft. A 31 spline yoke came with it. Its markings are spr 1089 and c027. I need to get a new u-joint. Do I need to use a standard u joint or the 1330 or the hybrid?

Should be standard ujoint, but I'd call the supplier u got the tkx from.

I just did a swap in Oct and used greaseable ujoints from Rock Auto for a stock 5.0. Everything fit.

You need to measure what you have...LOTS of help on the internet and check out some of the driveline websites as they have the measurements to help you figure out what you have/need...

I hope you did the bellhousing alignment check plus put the correct amount of spacers behind the slave if using a hydraulic clutch.

The driveline angle is important too...Theres a Tremec phone app that helps with getting the perfect angles between trans shaft and pinion,,

In one of my rides with a TKO500 I had to get rear adjustable upper arms to set the correct pinion angle........I had to go 3* down to correct it and had to shim the transmission up 3/4" [roughly 5*]and doing those adjustments pulled the slipyoke out about 1" making my driveshaft too short after already getting it cut........

Ok. Thought I’d share what I found . The stock manual u joint is a 1330. The stock auto is a 1310. The only difference is the lengths.

That is the info you need to know to figure out what U joints you need..
Try PSTDS.com and click on Drive shafts 101.....Then scroll down....
The info in this section is laid out very clearly and is very helpful...
Probably will have them build my driveshaft..

They don't do alumnum drivelines... With the cost of steel so high, Aluminum is very affordable now...
With that BIG HEAVY, OWER ROBBING, Old TIMERS 9 inch I have, I need help wherever I can get it....

General, have you used the guys on Combee road before? Any reviews? TY

Drive Shaft Specialists?
Yes
Many times.
Excellent.
And one of the guys (I think the owner) has a really nice GTO

They have a shop in Oklahoma City and they did the aluminum shaft for my TBird and it turned out great. They have done a couple jobs for my dad and I and all have been first class.

Just double checked myself and it’s Drive Train Specialists…close.
