Tokico Illumina & MM C&C Plates (dont work together? help before i waste my money!)

Im about to buy Maximum Motorsports CC plates and Tokico Illumina Shocks/Struts.

Iv been told that this combo doesnt work well together, it results in a clunking noise when going over bumps (speed bumps etc).

Anyone heard of this or anyone heard of shocks not working with certian CC plates?

I've never heard one way or another, but I'd just call MM and ask them. They sell both parts, and I'd think that they would give you an accurate answer.

I'm running Tokico Illuminas with Steeda CC plates. Mine work fine.

Any CC plate with spherical bushings will transmit more noise to the interior than the stock plates. I have Tokico shocks with MM C/C plates on my 95, and they do make a bit of noise on bumps. The struts are a bit loose is why. Buy Bilstein instead .

I have Tokicos and I think they are a waste of money, so are Bilsteins. Spend a little more money, and get a set of QA1s or HALs.

Depends on your goals. For drag racing, sure. But QA1/HAL struts are garbage, you'd be rebuilding them all the time. Their shocks are okay though.

I can't wait to do coilovers. I know a couple of people with HALs who haven't had any problems. Explain more about the rebuilding thing. I don't mind doing the work if is cheap.
