Shut your dirty man pleaser Guy! LOL

I fixed the Tq box problem... still need to do the floor pans.

I feel the car runs good. Im real happy with it and its pretty consistant. When I made my first pass the lady handed me my time slip and asked if I have a helmet. I said no I honestly didnt expect to run less than 14.0....I really figgured it would run 14.xx's its basically a stock 302 with port work.

Heres where I repaired the Tq box and floor pan under rear seat.

I cut out the rusted weak metal and welded in new metal... I also welded up the inside of the Tq box etc before putting new metal in.

Thanks FlavaDave. Its a project. I almost decided to scrap the body and tansfer everything over to a rolling chassis. But I figured I would try to save it, im doing it a little bit at a time. Once the floors are finished then it needs some 1/4 panel repairs. Over all its still pretty solid. Just a typical Northern Indiana car..salt likes to eat at them.

great story with your awesome comback to the mustang scene. :nice:

you never really left ( even though we wanted you to ) and now your faster than my buddys 93 cobra ever was !

Yeah I never left (even tho you wanted me too s&b) I was just stangless...i have been that way a few times over the last 5-6 yrs.....

Yeah its a nice car... just needs repaired to be really solid again.

Rustypwnz, Ill try to make it saturday to the suds. My mother in law passed away and we are tryn to get all her crap out of her apartment by saturday....

Just curious what welder was used to weld that metal in, size etc?? Looks like some good welds I'm looking for a good welder, right now I borrow my buddies Lincoln 100 gasless flux but I don't really like it. Nice work though.

DUDE!!!!! Check all your time slips for the runs at 5:52pm and 7:23pm.

Car #608 was me!!:D

Just for sh#%$ and grins I had my stock 2010 "Justa" Cooper (that's the non-"S" model for those that don't speak MINI) out there. I'll have the 'Stang out there next week if the weather holds.

Here's a pic the "ol' lady" took from the stands:

Don't laugh! There's 118 naturally-aspirated Bavarian ponies grazin' under the bonnet... er... hood. ;) I beat the snot out of one of the 3 Smart Cars that was there (a cool, fun-lovin' bunch of guys they were :nice:).

Perhaps I should pick on someone my own size.

I remember runing against you, I blew the tires off on the launch and sat there spinning.... then blew by you about mid track LOL!

After the sun went down I went slower. Couldnt get the car to hook for crap... the best run I had was the first run. and I bogged off the line and just went.

Its a miller mig welder, it requires shielding gas. Its dual voltage 110/220 dont know the model # it belongs to my friend. He paid alot for it tho.

I was lookin out the side of my eye wonderin' where you were. That slip says you were doin' 41.19mph. I think that right lane's 1/4 speed trap was screwed up for the first half of the evening. It said I did a pass at 156.14mph. :rlaugh:

17.454 @ 81mph is the best the Krautenküper would do. It's not made for the straight stuff.

Let's go run the "Tail of the Dragon" so I can get even with you.;)

I had my best runs in the left lane.:nice:
