So I finally got to the track yesterday, to see if all the money I've put into this thing has been worth it.

http://media.putfile.com/dragstrip044

I got a 15.023 on that run. I fully believe that with some decent tires (I'm using the nearly bald stock tires that don't stick worth a damn) and a little more practice, I could easily be in the 14s. I think the only reason I didn't get it that time is because i had no traction at the start, and as soon as I almost caught traction, I floored it and lost traction again.

V-6s are gonna own

BTW, The guy I was lined up with was running a 390 he said was pushing 400 hp.

Got a timeslip? would love to see your 60ft time, didnt look like you had that bad of traction off the line, but i could be wrong. Excellent quarter mile time though.

Is it me or does it look like they get to race DOWNHILL???

Nice run!

Noticed on your thinking about gears.... make sure you put in some kind of limited slip differential while your in there...

Keep us posted on how you do!

got to looking better at your mods... yep, with practice and some better traction (let some air out of your tires too...) you should be able to run high 14's... maybe 14.7 or so...

I've got the slip here, so I'll just copy the numbers off of it. I realize you gotta have a little spin in your takeoff, but this felt a bit extreme. I Completely broke the tires loose and kept them loose for a good long time, and that was launching at 2.5k, holding the pedal there till I got traction.

Reaction - .505 (very bad for me)
60 ft - 2.323
330 ft - 6.332
1/4 ET - 15.023
1/4 MPH - 92.56

This was the third run. I was improving each time, but on the fourth and fifth run people wanted to ride with me so I didn't get a chance to break 14.

NICE! Man...keep it up. I think your traps are awsome for just 4.0Ls. You guys will rundown NPI GTs pretty easy. IMO gears and a T-lock would be your best bet. get yourself a 2.0 60ft and you will see mid 14s. Best thing to do is ride the clutch off the line and dont just floor it...push down the gas quickly as your slipping it and when you release the clutch fully, push the gas to the floor. But in a smooth motion....like when taking off from a stop...just faster lol.

Oh and whats the elevation of that track?
