tool to remove those plastic rivot thingies??

Like the plastic pieces that hold the door panels in, or the plastic piece that holds the kick panel in. The piece kinda looks like a plastic screw with ridges instead of threads. Is there a tool to remove those safely? Especially the ones that hold the front seat belt cover on (only on 91+ convertibles).

i used a pair of plier looking things with rubber slips over the end. they fit perfect and were angled up at the tips so they worked perfect. no idea what it's called. use 2 flat head screw drivers and pry them up a bit, then wiggle them back and forth with ur hands until it comes out

Most parts stores will sell them, and most parts store clerks should know what you are talking about if you describe the tool as you did above.

The sell trim removers at most of auto parts stores. Looks like a screwdriver with a flat forked end and a handle.
