i'm planning on replacing my front rotors and pads this week. ive done it before on my cough cough, cougar.....and a few other ford cars, just not on my stang yet. i have access to a lift and shop with a butt-load of tools, but that means driving 45 minutes and paying $5/hour for the lift. i'd much rather do it in the parking lot of my apartment complex using jack stands. however, i have limited tools at my disposal. just your basic 1/4", 3/8" drive metric and standard socket set, screwdrivers, some wrenches, that kind of stuff.

what tools are a necessity to do this? specific sizes would be nice (12mm, 3/8" etc) and which ones are nice to have? id like to paint my calipers too, so thats another reason i'd rather do it here, so i dont spend extra cash waiting for the paint to cure at the shop. im just using standard gt brakes, not the bullitt or cobra kit. thanks for all the replies.

also, i know the bullit archive has a write up for 96-98 stangs, but im not sure if 99-04gts are the same.

so it shouldnt be a pain to do the pads and install new rotors, rotors should just pop out (no screws?) after i take the shoes out .
