Well I am considering building a 427. I want to use as many part from my 302 as possible.
It will be going in a 68 Fastback.

1. Heads TFS twisted wedge? Would they be a huge bottleneck. how much hp will this cost.

2. I want to also use my TKO 600 . If I recall i need a different bellhousing.

3.what about the LT header?

4. Anything else transfer over?

thanks

Yes. Not sure how much. Might want either the High Ports or R series heads. You could have them ported a ton. I'd consider AFR Heads though.

Yes
3.what about the LT header?

Kooks and Accufab make them. Also can have them custom made.

4. Anything else transfer over?

Need new oil pan/intake manifold
thanks

I believe the S-351 had twisted wedge heads starting in 96? Might be alright for a 351, but a 427 would probably better like afr 225's. Then again fox lake ports alot of tfs heads, they might be able to give you some answers. Also doesn't the 302-351 have the same bolt pattern, I believe so. The TKO-600 should still bolt up to the 351. Only other 427 I know about besides the stroker is the fe block which is totally different. Although a 427 sohc would be nice to own.

Fox Lake Power Products, intake manifolds, assembled shortblocks, modular shortblocks, CNC modular heads, P-51 installation, comp cams, crower, ferrea components 1999

The stage 3 flow numbers are close to the AFR 205 numbers. And they say the stage 3 flows 65cfm @ .600 over stock heads. I'm guessing the stock TW heads on a 427 will make a ton of low end torque, but it'll run out of steam by 5000 rpms or earlier.

On the TKO, the 5.0 and 5.8 use the same bell housing. If you already have the TKO to 5.0 bell housing, you can use that.

The headers would be more car specific than engine specific. I don't know if you're current headers will fit a 68 Fastback. In a SN95, there are a few 302 headers that fit with a 351, but it's usually best to go with 351 swap headers from someplace like Kooks or Accufab.

Search the corral for gray86hatch to see what unported TW heads can do on a 408. 10.teens if I recall.

"They are TW track heats that have had a little work done to them. just enough for the super vic to match up and a trick valve job.
the cam is .589 lift the rest of the specs are small compaired to others I see on here. "

"TFS TW heads, FTI ps3 springs, Roush 5 angle valve job, short turn work, matched to the Super victor intake about $2000 to duplicate"

Not exactly stock heads, but still very impressive.

Never said stock, I said "unported" :) Though I should have been more clear, I wasn't implying that the OP can throw unported TW heads on and do that. Impressive for sure.
