What are the cons of going with a torque arm & panhard bar setup? Anyone running these, especially the MM package?

I know that ground clearance is reduced a little. Do you think it would channel more noise into the cabin?

I've been looking at the MM "Road & Track" package. It has the panhard bar setup, but NOT the torque arm. Would you do the panhard bar setup without the torque arm? Anyone running this setup?

My goal is to have a great handling street car. There will be limited track use.

Any insight is much appreciated.

The bulk of the noise I got was installing the LCA's. Didn't notice much of anything else with the TA & PHB. If your strapped for cash, do the PHB before the TA. Then add the TA as the budget allows.

I would still do the LCA's even with the increased noise, so you should decide if your going to eventually go to coilovers too. MM makes an adjustable LCA if your not going the CO route.

My exhaust flanges are the lowest part on the car so there hasn't been any issues of scraping. When the torque arm is installed you can't lift the car from the diff any more.

I would also get full length subframe connectors. Check out Global West, best thing going IMHO.

Tubular stock for the SFC (has all the benefits of rectangular stock and offers better torsional rigidity.....ever see a rectangular roll bar???).

Seat supports

Four tube rocker rail support

Pre assembled kit

I went with the individual parts and had them installed in case there were irregularites between the subframe/floorpan and the Global West jig. I'm sure it would be cheaper if you went with the preassembled kit.

You can see all this stuff installed on my car by using the link in my signature.

EDIT: Make sure you check out the pics of my car. I did have fitment issues with the aftermarket exhaust system in regards to the PHB and you will have to relocate the flanges (H/X-pipe to cat back) for the best fitment with the TA. The pics show show two differnt exhaust installs....so do it right the first time!!!

No, but I'm sure that's partly because it's harder to bend rectangular tubing in different directions.
